We believe it is critical to the culture of the city that these heavily compromised protected structures all over Dublin are brought back into residential and commercial use following their refurbishment. Why is it that so many of our *protected* structures are still in use as low grade temporary commercial space with little income generating possibilities fitting of their location and status ? Because the work required to save them is expensive, time consuming and unpredictable and so many languish in a zombie-like state for decades on end mostly north of the river.
